That is a very neat looking and original knife.  I like it.

That looks awesome.  How thick is the handle?  Just curious how comfortable it would be in the hand.  I have fairly large hands and like a somewhat bulky handle.  Also, how do you do the stone wash finish, if you don't mind sharing?  I am starting on an antler scaled drop point for a friend that that finish would probably look good on.

Thanks again guys!

Matt, the blade starts out at .214" thick, but with the knapped texture it comes out fairly thin.
The finish is achieved by first etching in Feric chloride, and then the blade is tumbled either by hand or in a tumbler.

Great knife Ben. Can you tell me the specific file you used for the finger grooves? What tpi and cut? Thanks

I used a 20lpi checkering file for the thumb grooves. And a round chainsaw in front of and behind them.

Thanks for the info Ben.  I'm going to try that finish, or something similar, on the antler scaled knife I mentioned earlier.  I haven't posted any pics of any of my work on here yet because most of it has been built from mass produced blanks.  The one I'm working on will only be my 5th knife made entirely by me(hollow grinding is kicking my butt    ).  I may let it be my 1st post on here.  I would love(even though it will likely hurt a little  :knothead:  )to have it critiqued by you and some of the other guys on here.
