More traditional knives

I don't post much here these days, but I do stop by often to read the new threads. I figured I'd post a photo of some of my "knives" if you will.





More traditional than steel, ok well maybe I made them a little more fancy then just a sharp rock, but still, man was using anything with an edge for many years before metals came along.    
1 is going in my personal collection, 2 are going to a local banquet. still have 8 more ready for antlers (think my brother has another 12 done up ready for banquet season too) Largest in bottom pic is 6.5" blade smallest is 5.5ish.

Very nice work. What are the types of stone used.  Some of it looks like obsidian but I am not a geologist.

the black ones are snowflake obsidian (these will be the last ones I make like this) the red and black striped one are Tiger stripe obsidian.
I've made some out of rock, but folks seem to like the obsidian better, idk why.
