Hay all,

I was nosing around on some of the knife forums and came across this one.  Someone modified his Buck 119 and ended up with this.  He says it now fits his needs much better and he carries it all the time.  He didn't say what he used it for though.

I thought it looked kinda neat.  I wanted to post it and see what you all thought about it.  Would you use one like it or have yours modded like it?

Thanks

I would not do that to my Buck model 119. I love the design of that model and mine fits my needs perfectly.

To each their own but I'm with James on this one.

I have no problem modifying things to fit my needs, and if this fits his then so be it.  I would not modify my 119 either though.

Probably broke off the point prying on something so he "modified" it.

No way I would modify that knife. I also think he broke the tip. If I HAD to modify it I would go ahead and grind the spine into a gentle curve and get rid of the old clip section.
