Here are a pair of sheaths that I finally finished for a couple of knives I had displayed earlier. Both knives are being donated to a fundraiser next month.

Both are built out of 8-9 oz Veg. tanned leather, hand stitched, dyed and antiqued.

Wasn't sure the sheaths were actually going to fit until I took Scott's suggestion and soaked them in a container of water and then forced the knives into the sheaths.  Ended up with an excellent form fit with no fear of the knives falling out acccidentaly.

cheers, Dale

Nice job! Better resize your pics before they get pulled.
Time is a great teacher, but unfortunately it kills all its pupils.

Thanks guys, appreciate the comments.

Dan,
The finishes are Eco-Flo water based products by Tandy.  On one sheath I used a Gel Antique - Saddle Tan and the other I used All-In-One Acorn Brown. Applied with a dry cloth on damp leather and then wiped off the excess.  After dry, I applied a liberal coat of Professional Finish Clear Gloss to seal and set the colour. Hand buffed with a clean cloth after.  Finally a bit of Neatsfoot Oil to the inside of the sheath.
cheers, Dale
