1095 cracking

help please! when im grinding my bevels im geting hair line cracks from the bottom towards the spine. no problem with 5160,d2 or o1 just seems to be with 1095 high carbon 1/8 inch cold roll steel. could i be geting to hot and cooling to much. thanks for any help

is the steel in hardened or annealed state?

There's not enough information. Are you forging? How are you heating and cooling? What is the history of that particular bar of steel?

yep more info needed,   ive used 1095 or W2 almost exclusively for over 15 years.. to date I have had 3 blades crack,  all three my fault.
