This one is something I have been wanting to do for a long time, and a little different for me.
Next to carbon steel, copper is my favorite metal! I really like how it has such a warm look to it, and with the heavy hammer texture it has a very "soft" feel. The hammered texture continues around the entire edge of the spine.
What do you think?

Very cool, Ben!  Did you consider doing a patina or will you just let it naturally darken over time?  I like the shiny copper but think it would also look good if "aged".

That is really neat. Great to see something different posted on here. We seem to share the same fondness for copper, it's fun to cold work annealed and bring to a work hardened finished piece.

Thats got character. I really like the hammer marks also.

That's just plain cool, I would have never thought of doing that for a handle but now you got my gourd stewing.

Ben, I had the same idea rattling around in my head also but never got around to it. Great job, simple yet elegant to me.Did you epoxy the copper slabs or only pin?

srtben

Kuch, I did use some G-flex epoxie under the copper, to help keep moisture out.
Thanks for all the kind words guys!
This one will be up for sale, as soon as I finish the sheath.

Talk about a sheath matching the blade! Way to go.

Thanks, I would like to say I planned it that way, but the sheath was kind of an after thought!
