If price doesn't matter, I'd look hard at the Travis Wuertz grinder.  The guy was an engineer who decided to improve on the standard grinder setups.  His whole grinder rotates to its side so you have a vertical and horizontal grinder in one.  It's pretty slick.  I know a stock removal guy who works for a well known maker grinding blades every day-he's saving for one.

I have a KMG and think most will too.  However, at our last club meeting Chris Williams brought in his Wilmont grinder and I was quite impressed with it.

I highly recomend KMG almost three years ago I came on here(tradgang) and asked the same question.I bought KMG and it has served me well!

There are ways to cheapen it up a little if you don't mind making some atachements or doing some extra work.

KMG's are the bomb and will also deplete your wallet.   Check down a page or so to find a post I made on a high quality grinder for the low price of $565.00.  The manufacturer is a shop builder.   I custom ordered a variable speed 1 hp upright grinder and have put it thru it's paces.  Send me a pm if you want his contact info.  I am  to cheap to buy a KMG and the grinder was cheaper to buy than what I could build one for.   He has them listed on C list in Portland Oregon under tools, type in belt grinder.   I provided a review in my post.
