Here are the tomahawk projects I have been working on recently.  They are all field grade models.  These are true tomahawks with the slip fit tapered handles.

Two have curly maple handles and one has an ash handle.  The are all three in my mid weight series which makes them good for carrying in the field, yet heavy enough to chop wood in camp.

Love them all, seeing them reminds me that I have really been wanting to try making a hawk. Great job again.

They are all mono steel hawks, I am planning to work on some wrapped and welded hawks in the near future.

The middle hawk is going in this years auction.  I am going to be putting one of the neck knives and most likely a bird and trout knife in as well.  The bird and trout will go in if I manage to get it done in time.

Great looking, Clay.  Are they all recycled heads that you re-forged?  Can't wait to try and get started on a few sometime...  Ever since the weekend at your house, it's been a steady downward spiral-can't thank you enough  :) .

MT Longbow the hammer poll hawks are not specifically designed for throwing. I normally make spike hawks for that.

Gudspelr.  I can tell your fully hooked.  I have 15 blanks from the full set of knives I worked on over the winter that are tempering in the oven right now.  I just finished hardening them tonight.  I am plotting out a couple of big choppers in the near future.  Right after I finish the guards and handles for a couple bowies and two long hunter blades that have been sitting for a long time.  Your welcome, though I wonder if your wife feels grateful for your new hobby.
