Last weekend I forged up four blades...one for Larry Surtees plus one for St Judes...but which one    The second St Judes possibility is a small seven inch OAL hunter/caper with a three inch blade out of 5160.  The handle is Buckeye burl with copper liners and copper peened pins.  This one wasn't as easy to handle cause the Buckeye burl is so much softer than the ironwood.  So even though the handle is peened in place, I saturated everything with thin super glue, sanded it out, and finished it with Tru Oil.

Scott will get a kick out of the next two pictures cause when I sent him a knife for a St Judes sheath...the knife was in para-cord!  He had to guess how much room to leave for a finished handle.  Good guess Scott  ;)

On this view, you can see the copper liners better.

I won't bore ya'll anymore with the rest of the blades...but one of these will be Scott & my St Judes project.  Thanks for looking...Doc

Someone will be a lucky owner no matter which one you decide to go with!

What wonderful knives, and what a wonderful thing for you to do -- again! Thanks for all the good things you do on a regular basis, Jeff. Both Larry and the St. Jude's winner will be very happy.
