an old blacksmiths manual I found on the web in pdf form

and today I found on Abana's website they have the pdf's of a 26 lesson course  on their site. Which covers everything from drawing out to punching cutting etc.

what are some of the resoutces you all have found useful?

I wouldbe delighted to know. Because above all thing I love to learn!

The best money I spent was on a bladesmithing class.

Also i bet the Hammer-ins such as the one at Tannehill would be a great resource as well. I pray i can attend this year!

Youtube hsa helped me alot but alot of the videos on there arent really tutorial material.

They already said it above....can also find local blacksmith assoc. and go to members shops.Most ...not all...are not full time smiths and would be willing to spend time pounding metal with you.Make some contacts and network in that specific arena and you have access to tons of info .

you have heard everyone say blacksmith class. Let me tell you that I attended the one in old Washington ark. Over a year ago. It was the best thing I ever done, you can read and read( which is very good, and I read something every day about knives) but to see it in person is a must, if you want to forge your blades, I drove over 3 hr to go for one day, I have only done one stock removal since I went. Times are tough but if you want to really learn then,
