Had a guy stop in at the house a while back & showed me this knife. It was rust from top to bottom. The leather handle was all but rotted off.It was his fathers millitary knife. He asked me if I could do anything for him.I told him I would do what I could. No guarentees. So just completed my first repair.I just thought I would post a couple of pics. Not real great but its better than before.

Any tips would be appreciated.I tried to burn the leather a bit to put some age on it.

I think you did a good job. I think the leather will age over time

You did an "Outstanding" job on that knife.  Just rub the leather with a good conditioner and it will darken a little bit and over time it will darken more.

After I burn buffed the leather I put super glue on it.Maybe that was a mistake.Live & learn.
