I wanted to make something to take to the Midwest hammer-in and knife show so I made this... another camp knife from clay quenched 1084. It is 12" over all with african blackwood handle. It's a 1/4" at the spine with a lot of distal taper. It's a chopper.  I peened a huge wrought iron rivet from some old farm equipment through the handle.  Man do I like working with the tropical hardwoods! I forgot how much easier they were to finish...

What would you attempt to do, if you knew you could not fail?

Never leave the one you love, for the one you like.

That's nice, Scott!
Those guys in Ohio will enjoy that.
Wish I could be there to see it.

Nice!!! The rivet is a cool touch as well. It really gives it a classic look.

Nice work Scott.  I like the whole package...tapered tang, harmon, roughed up look    Just be careful with tropical hardwoods...mask & ventilation.  Doc

Thanks a lot everybody.... A lot of things came together for me on this one. I hope it cuts....  I'm sure hoping to chop something in Ohio...
