Hey all,

I have always wanted to make a knife, but have never attempted it.  Lately I have thought that maybe the best way to get my feet wet is to get a Helle blade and add the handle myself.  Of course I have never done anything like that either, but since the blades aren't that expensive it can't hurt to try.

So I thought I would ask you PRO's to post some of your creations.  I bet there are some real beauties out there riding on your sides.  The one thing I have seen with these Helle knives and builds is that the handles always seem to be too big and bulky.  Maybe it's just me, but that's how they look to my eye.

I have already seen one example done by Skullworks and it is simply GORGEOUS!  Maybe he'll post it for everyone to enjoy.  Anyone else that has built one, or had one built for them, how about posting pics of it?

I know there are lots of people out there that have built a Helle....so lets see 'em.

Thanks for your time.

Here's one I did last year using a Polar Blade and a piece of antler.  Makes a nice necker.

I'm no knifemaker but this was a fun and easy project.
