I made this one for a Bushcraft build on another forum. 1095 Carbon...3/16" thick...3-1/2" cutting edge...8" OAL. Osage scales with 3 stainless lanyard tubes.

I just figured in a bushcraft/survival situation it might give some more options for the use of the knife like maybe lashing it to a staff for a spear or something.   :confused:

I think the term "bushcraft" is used more so in England for an all around field/survival type knife. One that is a shape & design that serves multiple purposes.

Bushcraft could also mean woodsmanship.

I like that knife a lot. It would be great for lashing to a stick to make a spear. The best way to do it would be to make 3 loops in a length of parachute cord and run those loops through the lanyard holes. Slide the stick through the 3 loops and then pull the ends of the cord tight. Then wrap the ends of the cord in opposite directions around the stick and knife handle towards the middle of the handle and tie them off. Perfect spear. Of course I would only do that in an emergency, because I wouldn't want to risk damaging such a pretty knife unless I needed to.

In emergencies, pretty matters very little. Most people carry a "beater" knife in rough situations. There are knives for collections, knives for showing off, and knives for using.  But most knives here look strong enough to take abuse, so I would not worry.
Everyone hates to scratch the new Weatherby rifle stock.  But after the first scratch, you get to enjoy it more.
QUESTION:  Are the tubes as strong as pins would be?  Why?  Great idea for multiple tubes.  I would rather have a knife tipped spear than a knife in hand, in most emergencies wild animal situations.  Keeps you from having to hug the mad animal while poking her.  LOL
