Last Friday David Etcheison and I had a cold but fun day of forging and assisting a senior class to get the feel of hot steel under hammer. Here are a few shots of our day.

Thanks for the show, It's nice to see young people learn a little history.

Lin.....Thanks for supporting these 4-H'ers.  It's a great organization that teaches worthwhile skills and implants real life values.
Both of my now grown daughters participated in 4-H for several years.  Mostly in Ag related projects...but both often reflect on their experiences postively and are glad for them.

Way cool pics on the rope.

Looks like all had a good time learning and teaching the past...

I don't know if I could forge with some guy like that looking at me from the background!

Karl,
The only reason I was behind him is that he could not get between me and the firplace.  :D   It was about 12-15 degrees that day. To our right(in the photo) was a beautiful lake, partially frozen, but beautiful. All in all, a good day to be forging. Lin
