Here is one I just finished up, the "Standard Bowie" as I call it, or a "Working Mans" Bowie.   Forged from 5160 (3/8" truck spring stock), blade is 5/16" thick at spine, 10"long x 2" wide.   Differntially heat treated, double quinch/triple temper.

Handle is Missouri Black Walnut,  guard is browned steel.   Has a convex edge and wicked sharp clip.

I usually focus alot on hamons and polishing,  but its nice to just but a belt finish on one and call it a day!

Very nice knife and bow.I've been drooling over your work at bladeforums for some time but didn't know you had any interest in trad archery.I can only dream of a day when I could produce a bowie half as nice.

Do you get to any of the 3D shoots at Tannehill? I'm only an hour north of you and we have a blast at the shoots every year.

Lamey

Thanks all,   RH,  im just getting into trad. archery,  told myself this year i was going to do some of the things ive been wanting to do for 20+ years.

This year will be my first Tannehill shoot.  May even drive up to Kalamazoo in Jan. for the Expo that Great Northern puts on.
