3" Scrap of Bar Stock

I seem get these little pieces of 5160 bar stock just laying around the forge that I'll make into Team Tippit broadheads or in this case a little neck knife.  It's always a challenge to figure out how to hang on to the hot little buggars and still hit 'em with a hammer      :eek:      

Now that I finished up my St Judes projects and got enough Bear Blades to take across the border, this is probably the last of my blades for awhile.  With bear baiting trips, the Quebec Quest III hunt, and a little fly roding for stripers due in by the end of the month, I guess I'll save the propane for the BarBQ grill...tippit

Good luck with the stripers!  Have you ever used big "woolie buggers" on them?  Take some with you!

Steve, I use mostly chartreuse Clousers, poppers, and some long black feathery no name tie ups as I tie my own flies.

nice little blade.  is that a rebecca parker sheath?  i just ordered a belt sheath with some quillwork from her.  looking forward to seeing some of her work at the hickory shoot in a couple weeks.
