It seems as though Karl has started a T/D knife stampede.  Trouble is if you're just an old blacksmith, you're definitely are handy capped to the likes of Karl, Doug, Lin, and the rest of the beautiful bladesmiths.

Sometimes you have to look out side the box for inspiration with limited ability.  My primative T/D blade...Doc

I can't say I thought this one up on my own as I found this picture on the internet.

Mr Springer,, way to go! That is very cool.    :notworthy:   Did you get that bone from one of your patients? I really like that blade

TxMoon,
The bone is from a deer leg.  You can see it has a lot of mineral staining from lying on the ground a long time.  When I'm hunting a tend to spend a lot of time looking for handle material.  I probably should spend more time looking for my intended target instead     :knothead:     Doc

That is fantastic, and you got the stamp going the right direction!
Neat stuff.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

I know what you saying yes Sir, My neck will be hurting from looking down for arrow heads.   :knothead:  A  lot of the time I will get my pick out of the back of the truck and start digging in a camp on the river. Some times I will see a deer on the way back to the truck with a pocket full of arrowheads. I am still happy.  yea we need to get our eyes on the target at hand LOL ...
What kind of steel are you using?
