My first use of brass, first through tang, first flat grind, and well...the rest is just sanding. I am REAL familiar with sanding.   :saywhat:

I am proud of this one, my best yet.   :saywhat:       :bigsmyl:

Nice work, Kid! That is sweet!
'cuz deer huntin' ain't catch & release!

kbaknife

Wow! That's nice.
One thing I ALWAYS keep in mind that I learned early on was "don't do anything before you have to."
In other words, leave everything in oversized blocks until you have the fit-up of the pieces complete, then shape the pieces.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

You have reason to be proud of that Kid.  The care that's put in...always comes out!

And remember Mr. Anderson's sage advise.  You can always take more off.  Can't put anything back on.  ;~)

Gotta say too, love walnut and brass.  About as classic a look as there is for my money!

Way to go.
chiger,

I generally eat whatever I can get catched up!
