I am starting to make my first knife. I have a drop point design I am going to cut out of an old circular saw blade. I am wondering what to use for pins for the handle? Are there special pins you buy somewhere or do you make them? Thanks guys! I have been inspired by all the beautiful knives I have seen made on here.

i'm kinda new at this myself, but what i use is 1/8" brasspins or stainless, you can buy them from a knife supply store like jantz. if you have a homedepot or a welding supply near by, you can buy them there.
let see what you have done.
good luck

I like to use 1/8" x 3ft rod from Home Depot for brass color.  Or nickel/silver rod from knife making supply, if you want silver color.  Dan
