Lin Rhea

I want to post a photo of a knife that my nephew made. For a few weeks he's been hanging around my shop and picking up a few pointers from me. His name is Jacob Rhea and goes by "jake the snake" ,or something like that (these kids nowadays    ), here on the forum. I helped him with a few critical stages, but he made this knife and done a good job.

Wyatt(my stepson)and him are both 14 and doing real good at learning this stuff. He may be along a little later to post. Lin

He's got a good teacher!
Lin, I've been known as "Jake" to almost everybody since I was 7 or 8.
And still, people call me "Jake the Snake".
Your nephew and I would probably get along!
But, only if he likes girls.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Well, he is learning from one of the best.
That is a fine looking knife, he should be proud of it.
Needs blood on it!

Hi Lin,  I can see your influence ther in the knife.  That influence goes further than that though,  you never know what effect this can have on how his life will turn out,  I applaude you in taking the time for a young person nowdays.  I think this is great and thank you for the post,  just wish my kids thought I had something to teach them in my shop, oh well maybe one day I hope.

Talk to you later,  Brad Singley
