INFO: Trad Archery for Bowhunters

Here is my latest effort. Been real busy and have not had much shop or internet time. This is for an old USMC buddy, who I made a knife for his son for Christmas.

This is forged from 1084 with nickel silver guard and pin, G10 spacers, and spalted birch handle.
My pic can't show how nice this piece of wood is. This is some of the last birch that came from Ed Caffrey's family home back east.

Thanks for the nice words guys.

Rooster, the cutting edge is about 4.5 inches, with about another inch for the ricasso. It is a little bigger than my personal taste in a hunter, but that's what Nick wanted and I am happy it came out the way it did.

Really nice!  I read the etching artical in Apr. issue of Blade and after a bit more experence I gotta try that!
