here is my first finished forged blade
i built a coal forge on my time of over the holidays
knife is 6.25 oal 2.875 blade from a file
is is also my first attempt at etching and selective polishing the blade photos are not great but i think you can see the hamon from the edge quench
also i did a hammered finger guard thanks to tippit for the inspreation
 
 
 
this next knife is o-1  with stained tiger maple scales and is 5.250 oal 1.500 cutting edge
i installed rare earth magnets in this one to hold the knife secure
 
 
 
 
the second knife is headed east to the jlmbh
raffle table
i may do some more like this for the knife swap and st judes  auction

Great job! I can't tell you how much I like the knife I got from you last year in the knife swap, it skinned a bear and a couple of deer this season and it holds a mean edge. Someone is in for a nice gift with either one of those two.
