Some times ago I bought 2 dentric D2 blades from    Gary Kelley  
The Blademaker  , an Oregon Bladesmith
I have just finished to mount the handle (wood is Cocobolo and the stone is imperial Jade)

The guard/bolster area has me fascinated. I keep looking and trying to decide his process of forging this. This is one of the most interesting integrals I've seen.

    Do you have any more information that may shed some light on the forging process? To say the least, I'm impressed and would like to try to try one myself that is similar. Lin

I think that he should have a kind of punch to give this shape to the guard...Maybe you can ask him directly

Thanks LeTub. I emailed Mr Kelly. I think I can see how in my mind, but the trick is getting it out.   :)
