Well, I have some chert points that I got in a trade last winter. They are mounted on steel adaptors, maybe try them out on skinny carbon arrows with my '63 Kodiak 45#. The 3 largest points are 160-170 gr, 2" x 7/8". Not primitive by any means... but have always wanted to go one step further in the "upfront challenge". Gotta get close and make a good clean shot.

Looking to make some more meat this year with stone, started last year, don't ever plan to go back to steel, this is just way too cool, and deadly!

Two Burlington, Wisconsin Hixton, and some unknown flint on tamarack shafting. 550 grain average(135 points), 46-47 spine out of a 54# osage selfbow I like to use that ribbed point hot melt for hafting, then back strap sinew and a coat of tru-oil.

Just an FYI for outbackbob48 make sure your head meets your state regulations.  Some styles of head are considered to be "barbed" and are therefor illegal in some states and some states don't allow stone heads at all.  Just be sure your setup is ligit.
