Tom, at that point I was too darn tired to smile like a cheshire cat ;-) - that was all the smile I could muster!

Thanks fellas!  For the record, the large branch in the lower right hand corner is there for asthetic reasons, to cover up the field dressing gash.  He looked a lot more "stout" when we found him, when he still had all his innards still in him.

I helped drag him for a bit, trust me, he was heavier than he looks.  Like I told you before, congrats and he's a great deer.

Congrats on a handsome buck.

Here's what this fine buck produced - got to fill up my kitchen floor last night vacuum sealing him up.  He'll provide many meals and lots of jerky in the coming months.  Told ya he had a lot of meat on him!  This isn't counting the 10 2# packages of hamburger, the two roasts, and what I had marinating in the fridge (the sweetmeat and two tenderloins).
