Jeff I'll be looking forward to seeing those bones on a knife next year for sure.  I'm with Shawn on this one Bob, I was waiting for Curt to bring that one up.  I hope he's able to get it fixed.  We were in that hedgerow when I heard Curt yell "Bunnie!", followed by that dreaded sound we all hate to hear.  I think Shawn heard it last year if I remember correctly.

That's some sweet ironwork you do there Jeff!

Greg told me about Curt's bow on the way home, but I wasn't gonna say anything 'till someone else did.
Hope Kieth can do something with it. If anyone can, I'm sure its' Kieth.
That bow's got some terriffic mojo & memories in it!

It,s some real sweet work and I'm the lucky winner of his donated knife.Put a final strop on it the other night and was able to shave my face.....thats what I mean when I say sharp
Shoot straight and have FUN!!

Doug, I wouldn't be gettin into all this trouble if it weren't for all your help!  Thanks again.

Swampbuck, That's the stamp I was telling you about.  Centaur Forge quoted me $260+ and this other company did it in less than 3 weeks for under $70 shipped.  Of course I haven't used it yet LOL...Jeff

Jeff, let me know how the stamp works and holds up.  What size is it?  I'm thinking I have to get me one of them!  Now if I can just come up with a design... I feel a contest coming on...

Jeremy,

You definitely do need to sign your work - that's the first thing my wife said when I showed her the knife I won. Your work is very good and should be identifiable.

Jeremy, The circle is 3/16 in diameter and my camera surprised me in it's detail.  I had a contest among my friends and my clinic staff with the prize being a trip to Disney World.  Unfortunately no one came up with the exact design so I guess I'll have to go to Orlando myself.  Actually I'm supposed to go to Orlando for a vet meeting next Jan and coinsidently meet up with 4nols for a little pig hunting! Hope you're reading this Mike LOL...Jeff

tippit...I'd be interested too. I met a guy at the Madison Conference who will make them for between $30-50 for 3 block letters.

Thanks Scott!  I still have lots to learn, but it's good to know others like my knives.

Jeff, what was the wait time from when you ordered the stamp to when you got it?  I might have to hold off on heat treating a few knives until I get one    It's nice when a "business trip" turns into a hunting trip, huh! :)

Doug (or someone with one of his knives),
How big is your stamp?

Jeremy, the turn around was 3-4 weeks.  Doug's stamp is maybe just a touch larger but pretty close.  I figured I couldn't walk in his foot steps so mine is a smiggin smaller  :)   Both companies said their 3/16" was the most popular size.  I think for my small blades 1/4 might be to big until I get famous!  Jeff

Jeremy, This many not be the right forum but since you ARE making NEXT years JLMBH knife here is a couple of pictures of Doug's mark and mine (I couldn't stand not trying it!) to compare size of mark.  I just normalized this blade so the mark should clean up nicely once hardened, tempered, and finished...Jeff

Jeremy

Already did Joe!  Made 'em nice and tiny for ya so you shouldn't have a problem with those shallow string grooves.  It's stretching now and should get served tomorrow.
