Randy Gustufson, owner of Northwoods Wilderness Outfitters in Iron Mountain which is in Michigans U.P., has a wife that is a  dedicated traditional bowhunter. Cindy Gustufson is in the woods just about every day with her bow and she is filling the freezer for the family. Cindy and Randy live not too far from my deer camp Shrew Haven and when she and Randy came out to visit early in the week she told us that she had been playing tag with a nice buck where she had been hunting. She saw him several times but never got the right opportunity for a shot. It finely came together for her one evening and she made the shot from her Northwoods blind.  

She made Randy bring her and the buck out to our camp that same night to show to us. To say she was excited is an understatement    :D

This was Cindys 2nd deer of the season, she took a doe with her 49# Shrew Lil' Favorite eariler.

She was featured on the U.P. outdoor show Discovery last week.
