Wow thanks alot,I am getting the BUG,I've always been a recurve guy, then r/d longbows and now I keep reading and reading this thread and I cann't weight to jump-in both feet.Looking for a used bow to start if I can find what I like.I draw 30in with a recurve riser,I;m guessing 28 1/2-29in with a hill style 66-70in bow? what do you guys think?
thanks again Burt

Burt, at your estimated draw anything from 66-70" would be fine. I have a 27" draw on Hill style bows and favor my 66" the most but I still really like the others from 68" to 70". When you lay them side by side braced there isn't much difference. The 66" is slightly more nimble but the longer bows feel slightly smoother on the draw. Tons of bowyers making superb bows these days and most are reasonably priced.

Mudd,
That sure is a good looking Tembo you've got there!

Here is a teaser of my new JD Berry Morningstar. These are just quick pics from my phone.

Nice looking bow, Brian. Need to have some first impressions from the range.....

Nice bow Brian,I like that elm. I can't get used to the look though. That first strung picture reminds me of a pic of a bow for sale on Flea bay when they string it backwards!

moebow

Ya, have to admit that the reverse handle kind of gives me the "creeps."  Kind of like seeing a knee bend the wrong direction.  Really a nice looking bow Brian, IF I can get past the "wrongness" issue.

Are you willing to give up what you are; to become what you could be?

Brianlocal3

Nick, I'll agree with you about the backwards look. I own it and if it wasn't for the stitching id probably string it up wrong. LOL . But it does have a fantastic feel to it, sits nicely in the hand and truly throws an arrow with authority. This now is a winner

Brian,I'm sure it's a nice bow. I've owned a bow that James built and shot a few more. He builds a great bow for sure. But the look!      :D
I've got a Shulz string follow here, maybe I'll crank her around backwards and fling a few arrows lefty.  :saywhat:    "[dntthnk]"    :D

Brianlocal3

Send me a pic of the left handed reverse handle LOL

I agree Arne. I've never seen one in person or shot one, but they just look wrong. Maybe if I could shoot one.... hmmmmm...

Let us know how it works out.
