Mmm Mmm skwerl!! nice shot Bowfire.  A little panfry skwerl would hit the spot right about now.

Finally the temps are going down around here so I figured I'd get out this morning. Decided to sit the junction blind 'cause I had shot a big buck here a few years back under similar conditions. About 6:20 I saw a nice doe but she never came in close enough for a shot. At about 10:30 I figured it would only take me about an hour to hike home and make some lunch. So I took a few pics of the blind I just sat in all morning. Hopefully the hollow blind will have some action this afternoon. Maybe I'll bring a few of my small game arrows and score like Bowfire did.

I missed a big hog like that yesterday at 12 yds.  Now I am really sick about it.  I wanted to do a Euro mount like that.

Shot both of these boars in the same hunt Friday morning.  Morrison Shawnee with Elite cedars and Magnus I and WW.

Aggie, It looks like you had 2 arrows left, what did you do, run out of hogs LOL

Nice job

Aggie1993

That's right, for the time being anyways.  The hogs are horrible down here in S. Texas.  Just doing my part to help the landowner out:)I had a doe come in but she would not give me a good shot.

Aggie1993 Now yall are really making me feel bad.  Class of '89.  Got plenty time to hunt now...don't need to watch football.

Your effort in posing her made for a nice photo Jason; however, you could have cracked a smile.  :)

Muzzle loader is now open, over lapping the bow season. Now I have to use a little orange. This was me getting in a couple of hours this afternoon.
I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

Landshark,

On the Ducksouth board, we call those "Pope & Chop" deer.  Yum.  Here's a link to one of our favorite P&C recipes:

Here you go BJohnson. Now give the story.

joebuck

This what happens when a Razor,Razor,Razor Sharp BH from German Steel( Silver Flame) mounted on a heavy arrow (2219) goes coast to coast from a 58# recurve. Blood trails for guys over 40 !

Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

KyleAllen
