Warren, that looks a lot like the area I used to 'coon hunt in, down in the Sacramento River delta, before I moved to the mountains.

Bob, That's pretty typical of South Louisiana. Lots and lots of bayous, lakes and water everywhere.

Van, Just before I took that picture a 10' gator was there on that point by the cypress knees. He went under before I could get the camera ready. I'm sure he would have equaled any fight you could have gotten from a bass.

 So thats what you Texans call horses huh???  :D  

Here in ORYGUN we call them packgoats...Pretty handy for getting gear in and game out..

I took this pic on my way back home from the same trip along Interstate 84, Columbia River Gorge..

Doug that is just way cool!!  See if you can keep them around until I come down to shoot a Buffalo so I can take a picture will you.  "[laffsmyl]"    "[laffsmyl]"   The 3 animals that I haven't run across alive in Montana in 35 years are Grizzly bear, Mountain lion, and wolf.   Good luck with the elk.  Joseph

 Those are the John Day sheep..There were 7 rams total...Those 4 and 3 in another bunch...

 My week is over...I am wishing I took this week off instead of last week..LOL
September is the busiest month of the year for us at work...I am working this saturday also...  :(

Thanks Santiam.  Stumbled across a long thin patch of Doug Fir and White Oak with a bunch of them in it.  About two miles beyond a locked Weyerhauser gate.  Goin' back Saturday with a back quiver   :D
