I pray God continues to show you his presence in your life and you can realize an even more fulfillment than archery was able to provide.

has anyone heard from T.W.?  Wondering how he is doing!?

You're in my prayers, TW.

I cannot begin to express the heartfelt thanks my wife and myself feel toward the members and Admin. of this site! Thank you Paul for the message on my churches FB page! I am very very appreciative for all the well wishes and prayers for me and my family!

Brief update: I am still dealing with the nerve pain in both my arms and hands, cannot string or shoot my bow, nerve pain is down in both my feet now so, walking or standing for any length is a challenge. The injections I have to do for the rest of my life so far as we can tell are working. I go into the VA Hospital in Portland, OR. on the 30th for more MRI's to verify this and to see if there are anymore lesions on my brain or spine.

I had another fall down my stairs so, the VA has 80% disabled me but, at the 100% rate. I get very tired after any activity 2hrs or more and crash for hours. (this is hard coming from someone who never took naps of any kind!) My family (bless their hearts!) have been really helpful and understanding. My boy Robert seems like a mother hen sometimes in his efforts to want to help!    :biglaugh:   I have a great neighbor who does my lawn for me and helps with some outside stuff. He had a custom walking stick made for me for Christmas to help me get around. It is very special!

The story of my stick: My neighbor has given me a gift that literally had me in tears. 'Course, I held them in check as best I could. :-) Knowing and watching me sometimes struggle with my disability, my neighbor Scott, had a very special walking stick made for me and presented it to me this afternoon. Here is the story of my special stick...
The top is fashioned from the antler of a buck Scotts grandfather shot in 1932, the braided grip area is made with the colors from the Army dress uniform (his way of saying "thank you" for my service), the tassel is made from genuine horse hair and the shaft is made from a 1901 oak plank from the Crabtree, OR covered bridge where Scott's family is from. I will put it to good use!

Here's a pic from this afternoon of me with my stick.

I have had to make a lot of adjustments but, the military taught me one thing if anything. Adapt and Overcome! With the help of the good Lord and my family, I am doing this day by day. Again, I thank you all and wish you straight shooting and campfire tales!

Really good to hear from you TW! Prayers for you and yours. Cool walking stick, and I'm jealous of that Bi-Plane ride. I bet that was awesome!

The best thing about that plane ride was, not only did I get to fulfill a life long dream of mine but, it was my son Roberts first plane ride ever and I got to share it with him!

We have since flown to Disnelyland in CA. so, he is ok with planes now.   :D
