I received a call just minutes ago from Cheri, Rick's wife, she told me that Rick had lost his battle to live this afternoon. Many of you that know Rick, also know that he has been fighting this battle to survive for 10 years. Of all things, a gallstone started this journey he has so valiantly fought for these many years.

Words escape me and nothing I can say will come anywhere close to doing justice to this man, Rick was my friend and hunting buddy, I will forever miss him.

Please pray for comfort for his family, arrangements will be made tomorrow and I will pass on that information as soon as I know it.

I wish I could pen words that would make sense but I can't, the tears make it hard to see.

sorry for your and the family's loss. I think about this some- its going to happen soon enough to all of us.

I pray for God's healing touch on you and his family-

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

THANK GOD FOR BRINGING YOU GUYS TOGETHER FOR THE TIME YOU HAD.
PEACE TO HIS FAMILY.

Mourning those who've gone ahead is the right and just thing. Were it not for the love of others, there'd be no grief. What a shallow life that would be.

Prayers for the peace of God to wrap itself around you, Rick's family and all whose lives he touched in a way that is comforting and allows the grieving to bring healing.

Keep the Son in your eyes!

All,

Rick's funeral will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 pm at the First Baptist Church of Edmond. The address is 1300 East 33rd Street, Edmond which I think is just west of Bryant Ave.
