I just learned that BodarkOkie (Gene Eakins) is in the hospital in Oklahoma City. I do not know what is wrong with Gene but understand most of his family is with him. Please remember Gene and his family in your prayers.

I just talked to Gene's brother who said Gene is undergoing tests but has some brain tumors. Bruce, Gene's brother, asked for prayers for Gene. I will try to keep you updated and find out what hospital Gene is in.

I just received word that Gene will be having brain surgery in the morning. Plan on going to Oklahoma City to be with the family and will keep you posted.

Prayers from Sandstone.

I just returned from the hospital where Gene had surgery. The doctors removed one tumor in the frontal region of the brain but there is still a smaller one in the back of the brain that will be treated with radiation. There is still the issue of the tumor in the lungs. Please keep this family in your prayers.

I visited with Gene today and learned that he will be leaving Sunday for M.D. Anderson. He will be there for a week of testing and determining the best way to battle the cancer. Please keep Gene and his family in your prayers.

Received word today about Gene's condition. It seems that the small tumor in the back of the brain has begun bleeding and will do surgery on Friday. Also another small tumor was found in the brain. Please keep Gene and Jeannie in your prayers.
