Doc Nock

My Pop is 87 and widowed these past 4.5 years. He found a nice lady to be a friend the past couple years at the retirement village.

His family struggles with heart disease. His baby sister died a month ago at 80 unexpectedly with heart problems.

Dad's heart is a wreck with bad valves, but with all the other stuff he's got wrong with him, surgery isn't in the cards. He had a mild heart attack Monday night and they stuck him in the hospital Tuesday.

Not only the valve, but some blockage of other arteries ON the heart. He had 2x bypass in 98' but can't do that again, either.

They put in a stint today. Didn't work long in 97', but prayers sought he gets in a couple more years.  He drives me nuts with his penchant for contests and soothsayers he sends money overseas trying to win money, but he's a good God-fearing man who just gets confused sometimes and follows wrong thoughts.

Thanks for prayers for healing for ole Titus.  :)

We both appreciate it!

Doc prayers sent for God's best for your pops and comfort for you. My dad died when I was 2 so I know the ache that comes from the lose. Praying you are spared that till it's the right time and you and your pops are ready to say good-by for a while

Doc...Praying for your dad, asking God to give him a few more years if it's His will....

Continuing to lift you and your job up as well...God sometimes puts us in a place we don't want to be,,,,but it's where He needs us to be...maybe just to reach out to that one person who may not otherwise hear the Good News of Jesus Christ...Praying for You Brother!

Thanks, Folks!

Dad had a stint put in. Didn't do much back in 98', but they say it's improved. The did some cat scans on his head...but docs never called to talk with me, his POA. Typical and he can't remember anything about what they tell him.

He's in for the weekend yet... they don't start balancing his coumadin to go home till too late to be released. He won't even get PT over the weekend, so it's a forced 2+ days more to rack up costs. Oy!  :(

Good news is that aside from them lying him flat and killing his arthritic back, he's doing well, all things considered.

Thanks for the prayers...

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, with bible in hand and loudly proclaim...WOW...What a Ride!!!

He's doing ok it seems. He needs PT to get his strength back after lying in bed and sitting in chairs.  They don't have room at the facility tied to his apartment...but one down the street from me. He should get transferred today or tomorrow.

With his ticker, every day is a blessing to be here. Thanks for your many prayers.

Thanks, Gents.

After a number of stutter steps, it appears we have an opening at a nearby facility where he can get some PT/OT to rehab his strength, and hopefully, get back to his apartment.

He's anxious to get away from the hospital.  I wish he could be at his campus where he lives, but they were full up for skilled nursing. Means he won't get to see his friends while he rehabs, but it might make him work harder to get home to his own domicile!  :)

Thanks again for keeping ole Titus in your prayers.

Got things arranged for him to lodge at a nearby nursing care location to get PT/OT till he can get back to his apartment.

Social worker at Hospital said he'd let me know where he landed and when. People at the nursing care facilty said they'd let me know. Dad said he'd call and let me know what room and telephone #. I got nothin!

LOL..ole pop calls at 10:2o to tell me "he forgot". Well, at 87, I kinda expect it from him, but both the others?

I figured he was alive somewhere in Lanc. Co, or I'd have heard sooner.

Thanks for all the prayers. Now to get him rehab'd and back to his li'l ole apartment!

Peace out!
