prayers for my unborn grandson(an update)

My son just called and told us that their baby has been diagnosed with a heart defect and will have to be born c-section as he might require a pacemaker be installed at birth. They have started my daughter-in-law on steroids in hope of correcting the heartbeat and possibly negating the need for the pacemaker. Their due date is late April and I ask for prayers for my unborn grandson and his parents. I know that GOD is the Master Healer and I know that there is Power in Prayer! God Bless-Mike

Praying for your family. That God's healing hand would be upon their unborn baby. Praying for strength for mom and dad (and grandpa)! Praying for wisdom for the doctors.

The kids had a dr. appointment today. They were told tha my daughter-in-law, Alicia definitely has "maternal Lupus". The baby is holding his own. There is still fluid around the heart, but it has not worsened. The inflamation that is causing the problem with his heart was slightly worse, but the lower part of the heart is beating faster than is was during the visit prior to this one. Trat is a real PRAISE! It appears that once the baby reaches 32 weeks, the cardiologist and the neo-natal specialist will decide on when they will take the baby. If his weight is above 3 pounds, they will most likely take the baby then. The sooner they deliver him, the sooner they can address his heart problem. Please continue to pray, pray for my grandson to grow and strengthen so that he is ready for his arrival and possible surgery. Thanks to all and God Bless. Mike
