I am really not up on broadhead ID's. Can anyone Identify the old head I just purchased with a few razorheads on the big site? I couldn't resist in case it was a rare gem.  Item number is: 161032107251

Shane looks to be a Case Korrek 5/16" deep slot made in 1939 by Roy Case 0f Racine Wisconsin, its not real rare but a neat old piece of archery history anyway.

I agree you could find a vintage arrow in decent shape and it would look great with a Grumley.

Wish we had more posts about broadheads. Many collectors talk and post about bows, but broadhead postings are limited. Would love to see some rare heads on here. I know that in my home state of VT one company in highgate put out a head thats now on the rare list. Those are the old Rover heads. I wouldn't know one if it slapped me in the face. I bet there are some around in boxes though.

Shane the second head in my post is an "Airplane Zwickey". A very famous head made for Bear it was the first head with an auxiliary blade that Bear sold.

The "Airplane" Zwickey was not made for Bear. Bear made the bleeder blade and slotted the Zwickeys.

Dave....you said the PlyFlex on the right was available for trade, the bottom right or top right? I know which one and you do also, but not many others will know.

Last one that I saw on the auction site was 2 G's that is a pretty rare head. The middle head in the second picture has my interest though, anyone know who made it? Or when? It would work for large fish and shark...

If you are referring to the tall head, top middle, with cable, it is like many fishpoints- probably homemade.
I have one with the same function but made of stainless. That makes me think it was for salt water. Possibly for a harpoon and not a bow?

Yes Ron, that's the one. I have a small collection of fishing points, the plyflex and the Ben Pearson deep sea harpoon are probably the holy grail of fishing heads, but I am always on the lookout for something more in my price range. What do you think the head is that was used to make Dave's head?

Sorry Ron, you were referencing the broadhead I was referring to but it is in the first picture.

Shane, Bear had a pic that they used as an advertising piece. I wanted something better so a local artist did a painting of the scene for me using the pic as a guideline.

Left to right: Hugh Rich, KK Knickerbocker, Bob Morley and Fred. Nubbie Pate was on that trip too, and since he is not in the pic I imagine he was behind the camera.
As I recall Hugh killed an Antelope on the trip and became the first person to take an animal with a replaceable blade broadhead, the animal in the pic is of course not an Antelope, so it must be Morley's Deer shot at 75 yds. I figured that was worth a painting!
