I recently bought a Bear tigercat 56" 53@28 that is in very good condition and is a really great shooter. I've owned several tigercats but mine have all been 62". Is this length a rarity?

Thanks
Glenn

I believe they started out as 62" in '64 and went to the shorter versions in '69.

I have one, it is a real sleeper bow almost sold it once, put a skinny string on it and HOLY COW! speed went up and took 90% of the hand shock out of it. great bow...

They made a 58" version in 1970. Didn't know they made a 56" model.

I make my own skinny strings padded to 18 strands for my vintage bows and I agree they will shoot with most anything I've had the pleasure of shooting....

Sorry only had time for a quick pic with my phone so the quality is poor.....the color is like BW's graybark....for a short 53# recurve it shoots my 70/75 600+ grains fir real nice... :^)
