This is cool.  It's great to see the past come alive with these gorgeous works of art.  Very nice group photo Nick.

I got this bow in 2002 I think. The finish was flaking off and there were no stress lines in limbs. There had been a compound type quiver mounted using wood screws on the riser. I removed all the finish, and filled the screw holes. I reshaped the hole below the coin so now it looks almost like a dark spot rather than a filled spot. The other hole is very hard to find at the edge of the coin. However I did not do a great job of filling the pores. I also had to use the funky decals, as I did not know about Al's decals at the time. This  also has the original side plate and my homemade feather rest.
I used this bow in 2003 to take my first elk. It was a very nice 6 point. I also used a Bear tape-on quiver, 1960 Razorheads, and silver 2018 shafts. If you look close at the middle and top right pictures you can see that this block of wood was cut lengthwise to make two pieces,and glued back together so the grain matched. It doesn't have the typical "I" beam construction.
If you notice it is a 60" 60#.
I really like shooting this bow but as age has progressed my ability to shoot more than 6 arrows has diminished. I would really like to find a LH 50-55# someday and do a trade.

Ron;

You'll be sorry if you ever let that 60lb go.  You'll see that picture of the elk and wish you'd never sold it.

That is truth Dave.
But it's still here.......
I thought Felix would be all over it, but it's about 15 lbs too light for him   :laughing:

It is only January and the value of the 62 Kodiak is already climbing, I can see them up with the 59's in value before the 50th birthday hunt starts this fall.
