I thought I picked up a rare bird with that 100# aluminum laminated Kodiak recently, but it goes to show you that you never know when another rare Bear collectible will show up.Let the bidding wars begin.

Well there are 9 days to make a move. Think I'll let someone start with the OPENER!! I have a good idea where this one is going. Still like your 100 #er!!!

I got a couple just like it and would be very happy to sell them  for half of what he's starting out at. LOL

Larry- If you think you would like to add this one to your collection let me know and I will refrain from bidding. It won't be easy but for you I will do it.
Doug-I have a walnut Kodiak II in great shape too.Wonder if I should put that one up on the auction block.I'll make it a real steal and start the auction at only $1000.00 considering the bad economy.

What year is that?
I gave a kodiak away to a friend years back that wanted a wall hanger for his mantle. It had a compass and an aluminum strip.

Pretty sure '54 was the year for the compass kodiak.

I thought that was a decimal point "typo". LOL

I'll try to hold back on this one.

Johnny
That is very kind of you but I just could not sleep at night thinking I had stole this one away from you. Soooooooo in order to live with myself I'll just let you make the first move. It is a nice looking bow though!!!!!!

johnnyrazorhead

Gee Larry, that is soooooo nice of you. That is why I love this site, everyone looking out for everyone else's best interest.
I was thinking the same thing, that I should hold off bidding to let someone else have a chance at this highly collectible Bear bow.Especially since I'm still recovering from buying that 100 pounder. If I had known this one was going to show up on the big auction site I would have held off on that one instead.Oh well, since you,me,and apparently Norm(Zepnut) are going to sacrifice bidding on this bow, some lucky bidder is going to walk away with one very nice, collectible bow.

TonyW

The shipping is only 10 cents! (I could earn 29.90 in "Yaweh-bidders" bucks!) If the bidding goes up, I may even get FREE SHIPPING!

WOWEE!

And it can hang on both left and right walls!

johnnyrazorhead

Sounds like we may have a candidate here in Tony.I didn't even consider the right and left wall thing.Keep that one under your hat or the price may go up!!

Bjorn

I'm holding off; I believe in the 'pay a little more-get a little more' thingy. Something more expensive will be along soon...............

Hobow

Thank you seller!  Now that the cat is out of the bag on the rarity and value of the Kodiak II's and the buying frenzy that is sure to follow, the prices on the 59's will plummet.  Soon I will finally be able to pick up one of those "common" 59 Kodiak's for pennys on the dollar...

johnnyrazorhead

You guys have actually put some thought into this bow buying stuff. There is actually some sort of strategy to it.Now I'll probably just have to give all my '59 Kodiaks away once the bottom falls out.I had better hang onto my walnut Kodiak II,it could be worth several thousand dollars before too long.
The repercussions of the sale of this bow could turn the whole collecting world on end.I hope no one buys it at that price but what's the chances of that happening.Darn that Kodiak II !!!

TonyW

Seeing as this is the ONLY BE51 Serial Number Kodiak II in the world, and it can blow your head clean off*, you have to ask yourself "Do I feel lucky?"

Well, do ya, punk?

* if you string it and dry fire it

doug77

Tony, after you buy that bow are you going to be kind enough to pass it around so we can all shot it a few times.

What makes this one so rare?

Did Johnny put this bow up for sale just to deflate the price of 59 Kodiaks?

Does anybody really want to buy a $1500 bow from the "WiseGuy Store"?

Just some questions I have before my coffee this morning. All tounge in cheek, except the top one. What does make this so rare??

Bjorn, I have a bow for you to look at   :p

Chuck

**EDIT**
I just read the ad  :readit:  , compass in handle makes it rare.  :coffee:    :coffee:
