Hi I was just wondering if anybody could tell me how to identify a bear mag takedown riser over a 76er or minute man etc.does the limbs have a narrow fork where the limbs meet the riser.thanks

kuch

the mags have the latches, 76er and minuteman do not, limbs just slide in. The thickness of the limb butts are slightly different between the 76er and minuteman.  PICs describe much better than my words.

i dont have pics right now but i was hoping i could figure it out before i buy it.From what i read mags are great bows and would like to have one.Now that i think of it it does have a latch system. Are there ways to identify year by latch system.

The magnesium handles were 71-78. The earliest models 71-72 came without the medallions. The raised medallion came out on Bear bows during the 1972 model year and that is probably when they started putting them on the magnesium handles.

Here it is.The guy I bought it from said he was a bear dealer back then and bought it a year after they came out.The riser says b8605 and the limbs say 1-13505.

It look's like you don't know how to assemble these three pieces of "trash". Send it to me and you will feel free of carrying this burden.   ;)
