The doorbell rang this morning and it was Chuck my mailman. He had a big smile on his face because he thought he knew what was in the box. He said " I see you got another one" I said nope and stated " I've got the one". I went inside and quickly looked for the sissors and razor knife. After about 20 min of pulling, cutting, and sometimes ripping I finally touched her. After caressing her for a few min I strung her up, grabbed a couple arrows and took her out for a test ride. I firmly gripped and drew back so slowly I could feel all the muscles in my upper beck tighten. Then the release. My eyes tracked the arrow which flew straight and true. Instantly a smile came to my face. I was holding in my hand what I have heard so many discuss, and all the hype was true.

I bought this bow off Tom Baldwin (oldbowhnter). Tom is the most honest person I have ever delt with. He insured all my concerns were addressed before we came to an agreement. He also went the extra mile in backing his word, and packaging his bow. I think he should change his name to" Mr. Integrity" thank you so much Tom.

These are the first two shots I took with this bow at about 12yd. INCREDIBLE!

SWEET!!!

What kind of fool would part with a bow like that?    :D   Might shoot even better if you put a rug on that shelf!   Glad it's found a good home, Chuck.

Got a piece of leather on it Tom. May order a few feather rests from Trap. Made a nice string for it today too.

Someday . . .

I was born in 1959 and that would be a dandy birthday present to myself.

Congrats!

Chuck. I went back and read your first post thoroughly. You really bought yourself a dandy and I'm happy for you. But I also feel bad for you too.
These vintage-bears and in particular the 1959 Kodiak you just got will infect you with a terrible desire to get another one. Maybe 2, maybe 75. Terrible disease and I don't think it's curable.
If at anytime you feel too, too sick to carry on with this aweful addiction please call me and I will help you get better by buying them all from you. I do this not because of the MAGNIFICENT BEAR BOWS but because I want you well so you can go hunting and do all those other things in life such as Bowling, Tennis, Billiards....ect......
Oh, and yes Tom Baldwin is a gem. I have dealt with him some years ago and a real gentleman.

Chuck- Very nice bow and I have to agree with others here.Tom is one of the finest gentleman I have ever met in the collecting community.I met him several years ago when I first got into collecting and although we haven't done alot of business between each other, and I only met him in person I believe one time,I could tell instantly that he was one of the good guys.
You done good in your choice of bows and people who sell them.

Ron Roehrick

Tom is one of the best and thats a dandy 59, congrats on your purchase. Ron.
