I got to see a St. Charles Thunderbird yesterday. I didn't get to shoot it because of a wrist problem but what a beautiful bow. It shot hard and fast for a 45# bow. It also was signed and I believe it said proto #5.I was very Jealous!!!!!!!!!!!!

I own one.....its very stout at 72# but my drawlenth is 25 to 26 so I am pulling about 63 #...its sighned by Glenn St. Charles...it is smooth and quick...dual shelf. It is #250  of 300

Ahh trubltrubl-you are talking about Gen 2 T Birds. I thought you were talking about the original bows made by Glenn St. Charles. Copicasso is that a Gen 2 you were describing?

I don't know because it says proto #5 on it. Anyone have any ideas?

Jay could answer that. I'll try to contact him tomorrow.  I'd bet Glenn never bothered with anything like proto #5 in 1949!

Holy cow!  I shouldn't try to think when it's late!  If your bow has clear glass, it's one that Jay made.  My original has bronze colored woven glass on the back and white on the belly.  I don't know if they were all that way, but they sure weren't clear!

After listening to you guys it sounds like a 2nd generation. The bow did have clear glass but it was a thing of beauty.
