I have a Bear TD,"B riser"...with Green Stripe thur it...has the # B-3995 on the riser. CAN some tell me more about the manufactored date? It has green tipped limb marked 55lbs. My brother (SHAFT SLINGER) gave it to me before he passed. Bow shoots great!! Thanks

Awesome, greenstripers were made in the 80's ....how about some pics?

Not sure on the exact year of manufacture, but I have a green-striper with a close serial number,in the 3000 range and I belive it's an earlier Gainesville model, around 1983 would be my guess.Mine has no quiver bushings on the side near the medallion, only the lower one with the single screw.Sorry about your brother.

Thanks to everyone! I shoot this bow better (for some unknown reason) than any bow I have, and I have a few. Has anyone shot the new bear takedown? Just wonder how they compare to the older ones? I'll get some pic's of my bow posted ASAP. Thanks again!

I have shot the new one, but not a Greenstripe so I am of no use in comparison.

I felt the new one was a great shooting bow though.  It's on a list of possibles for my first take down.  However, if I saw a green stripe I think I would jump on that first just because I like the looks.
