I just bought this bow off the auction site. I think it's an early 90's. I put the leather grip on it. I was planning on snakeskin backing it but I think the Black glass looks pretty deadly as is,so I'm going to leave it. Clear glass on the belly. 62",50#. It's in excellent condition. It's signed by Earl but that might be a silkscreen. I paid $250.00,I think I got a pretty good deal on it. Shoots GREAT!!

Nice bow. Earl had some great designs. I think Jim Belcher has tweaked them a little and currently produces a recurve from off the same forms that Earl used. Nice purchase and the leather grip sets perfect. I know you'll be happy with it.

I love the style/design of the one piece Eagle as well as the 3 pc. Hawk by Hoyt.

I have an Eagle exactly like yours (minus the nice leather grip) and it's in 51#.  The only thing about the bow I do not care for is the wide black stripe of fiberlass/phenolic? that runs through the riser.  I know it's for strengh, but I would prefer green or brown.  (At least, it was not red!)

BTW, you got that bow at a great price too.

My bad, I see recurve is in the title. They made longbows too didn't they?
Certainly a nice looking bow with good camo. That leather grip really looks nice too.

Yes they did make a reflex/deflex longbow of Earls design called the "Ambush". I've never shot one but remember the Sky ads for them in early 90's Trad Bowhunter issues. They were offered in 60",63" and 66". I'd bet their a sweet shooting bow. Earl designed some great bows.

I'm familiar with a couple longbows in the Sky lineup...the Rogue and the Trophy.  I've been sorry ever since I traded them off and would still love to find a Rogue around 50#.
