I recently came across this bow and I believe it is a 1962 model.  The side plate does not look correct for this to me.  Can anyone help me out on this?  The bow is in extremely nice condition and it looks almost new.  I would like to find an original side plate (or replica)and possibly a quiver that is correct for the time era.  I have not shot it yet but I am excited to try it out when I get a chance.  Any info would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.   http://s882.photobucket.com/albums/ac24/ahandle70/1962%20Bear%20Kodiak/?action=postuploadshare

You are one very lucky man. That thing is flat out BEAUTIFUL!!

The strike plate should be bigger. The color looks correct. Bob York makes replicas. PM me for his phone number. I can get it for you in the morning.

As 4runr said.........lucky man!

The strike plate can be replaced.  It's just nice to find a sweet '62 in nice condition....especially if it didn't cost an arm and a leg!

Very Nice! A Bob York Plate will REALLY set it off.

Thanks for the responses.  The side plate must have been replaced at sometime I take it.  Does anyone know how to make the coin look better?  I've heard the pewter coins turn this color over time.  Now it is time to find a quiver...and a string!

I would leave the coin just the way it is.

Here is the 1962 catalog page for it showing the sideplate.

Thanks.  The color looks close but the size is way different.

you can buff that pewter coin out a bit by using some fine steel wool bd
