Ok guys,

I picked up a couple of Shakespeare recurves at the Arc (a Goodwill type store) a while back (well over 1 yr. ago) for my son (6mo. old now). For those of you doing the math...yes I bought a bow for my child as soon as I found out my wife was pregnant. I paid a dollar a piece for them and the are in good (not great) condition. I want to know anything you can tell me about them, but specifically I would like to know string length and brace height.

Model B-9 "Fury"
50" solid fiberglass (red)
18 lbs @ 22"

Also, any ideas what they might draw at 28"...I have been looking at them for a while and thought about using one as a "poor-man's bowfit"...I will not draw my widow without at arrow on it (I like it to much and it would hurt to much to replace).

String length should be 46 inches and b-50 dacron. You have to play with the brace height a little till you feel the bow is quiet and shooting good. Maybe a 47" string will give you a little more leadway.

BowDoc, anyone......brace height?
