Just started shooting a recurve a week ago and having a blast.  My step dad grew up shooting them and after watching me this weekend went home and pulled his out of the closet.  Probably hasn't shot traditional in 20 yrs., and we're not sure the last time this thing was strung and shot.  Any info you can provide would be helpful.

Info
-Bear take down
-Metal riser
-Black limbs w/white tips
-Says Fred Bear take down around symbol that has a drafting compass and something else
-Limb pocket serial number is A00592
-Limb serial number is 1-3173
-One limb has the following specs on it:
A-56"-43#
B-60"-41#
C-66"-37#
-Limb pockets are latching type

Is this a shooter if in good condition, or something you put over the fireplace?  This is my first post, so I don't know how to post pics if that's possible.  If you can I have several of this bow I can post once I learn how.  Thanks.

AALLFAB

if the latches are solid and the limbs look good you will have an extra good shooter. If it is your weight it could end up your favorite bow. Jim

Horney Toad

That is an A riser (short riser) and #1 limbs (short limbs). This will be 56" amo. A desirable bow. Would be worth around $400 or so. It should shoot fine if nothing is damaged.

Orion

That is one sweet bow IMO.  As AALLFAB says, it the weight works for you, it could very well end up a favorite.
