Hey guys, I found some more good stuff today driving around to yard sale's and barn sale's didn't find much... But as I was driving to my friends house for are every weekend archery contest we have before deer season as I was driving pass one of my friend's house.. I saw they where having a yard sale.. So I stoped and started talking with my friend.. She was telling me her dad had some old archery stuff down in the basement and I should ask him if he wanted to sell it.. Well I got talking to him and he said it's just old junk that no one wants.. I told him hey I may buy it.. So he went and got it.. Well the first thing and only thing he found was this Bear Hip quiver and the belt.. But there was no Belt buckle... This quiver is a Bear I don't know how old it is.. ( I sure would like to find out if any one can help me with a date)                                                                                                                  Well as I gave him my $$$ He said wait do you make your own arrows.. I said yes sir.. He said I think I have an Archery Box that was my dad's.. So he want and found it in a pile of junk in the barn....And came back with the box.. Well I didnt really look in side the box so when I got home I got looking at all the stuff in the box     and way down under some paper's I found the Bear belt buckle.. That went with the quiver   .. I also found

So I didnt have a bad day at all...

Wow, that stuff is awesome Cody!

I bet it really made you feel like you just stepped back in time as you peeled open the different layers of stuff in that tackle box.

That's the best part to me--just the 'Wow Factor' of it all.

Great find,

You can unpin the medals and wipe it down with a damp rag in a weak bleach solution.  After it dries apply a good leather dressing like Pecards.  Should look like new.

Cody,  Great Find and If I were you I think Fred Bear would want you to wear that Buckle no matter how old it is ...Show people what you're all about and who know's by wearing that and telling your story of collecting things archery related might get you even more collectables from another basement...Some people just don't think kids your age would even care about that stuff but by seeing a kid with that old buckle might put a spark in thier eye and a new friendship might develope along the way...When I was 15 years old my best friend who was 14 was killed in a motor cycle accident where he severed his windpipe on a cable...As I wept over his lifeless body his Father sat me on his lap and asked me to stop in and keep coming over to thier house..Well I'm 46 now and I have become like a son to them and this man has put the love of archery in me cause he used to take me out in the freshly plowed fields to look for arrowheads and he tought me how and what to look for...When we get a chance to go I now call him and the spark in his eyes are priceless and he is 74 now....He is a great friend and tought me many things and I can talk with him and he listens to me more then my own Dad ever did...You never know but that buckle will bring a sparkle to someones eye when you meet him and a new friendship will become of it...God Bless Cody and thanks for bringing that spark into my eye...Keefer's <")))><
