New guy here so please forgive any ignorance.  I did some searches and could not find much.  I have not really shot a stick bow since Boy Scout summer camp, long time ago.

I've got a 52" 40/45# Black Panther Hunter that my Grandfather bought for me 30 some years ago and it needs a new string.  Any recommendations?  What kind of brace height would be a good place to start.

I also picked up an 80'ish, I think, Gainsville Hunter T/D 62" 50# that is in fantastic shape from a guy local to me.  This came with a flemish twist string as well as an endless loop Dacron, so I have somewhere to start. Brace height?

Good recommendation for string source?

I draw about 29". The Black Panther is really to short for me now.

Just starting traditional.  I decided to keep the Mathews on the wall.  Just getting to technical/mechanical.... I do that about 10 hours a day now.

Thanks for any help,

Steve

Thanks for the help!

Would the Hunter T/D be OK with a fast flight?

wadde

my guess is yes but someone here that knows for sure will chime in i am sure. it is the vintage bows that can't handle the shock.
